I have never really been into painting much until recently. Throughout school, my main focus in art was to draw accurately as possible, equipped with my trusty pencil and willow charcoal stick, no other medium saw the light of day. I love the charcoal, for me it was a good place to start. To be able to control the tone of an artwork with just a rubber, finger for smudging and not have to think about adding colour.
